Ballet Bend Bend Theatre reviews
Great music - terrible lights
The music at my 4th Ballet Bend concert was excellent, just as I anticipated. The slow sweeping of the bright lights over the fans from the stage was terrible. Many individuals were shielding their eyes with their hands. Sitting in a dark theater and then being periodically blinded by bright lights was really unpleasant. One person in my group felt unwell due to the lights and considered leaving at intermission. There was a small sign at the Paramount's door mentioning "strobe lights and smoke," but it was quite late to inform people upon entry, and those were not strobe lights. Instead, they were light beams fanned out over the audience.
